QUEEN’S CASTLE BEEKEEPERS ASSOCIATION MEETING

January 30, 2016

Board members are :

Gary Barrow, OJ Blount, Karen Brock, Lucy Blount and Vicky Barrow. Other board members are wanted.

The local bee inspector will be @ OJ’s on Feb 22 or 23.

We will have a board meeting @ 9:00 before the February meeting.

OJ mentioned trying to do splits at the February meeting. He said that if the bees are gathering at the front entrance they need to be split.

Checker boarding was discussed as a swarm prevention method.  We viewed a Michael Bush video on swarming.

Change feed to 1 -1 ratio now.
