we had $555.92
Dues are still $10 a person or $15 per family.
The following work days for block laying on the
new club house are: September 13, 2014
and October 11, 2014.
If you use the drone cell foundation to test for
varroa mites: If you see 3 to 10 mites per 100
drone bees, put frames in freezer for 4 days to
kill varroa mites.
Can treat hives for varroa mites with Apistan
strips, Mite - Away strips or Hopguard.
Nuc bees
are better than package bees, because they have five frames of bees
with the queen,
and
already drawn out frames.
Millie Bee has nucs for $115.
Sharon ask
did honey bees like or benefit from the crotalaria plant. She has a
field of it. The
answer was
no, they do not. They like partridge pea, which blooms from
June till frost.
White
Clover they like, along with Japanese honeysuckle, wild cherry and
crepe myrtle.
The Alabama State Convention will be in Clanton,
AL this September .
